,Job Description:
Implementation of ICT Programmes:
- Manage Authority-initiated projects
- Co-ordinate HQ project roll-outs for Authorities
- Manage vendors and contracts for Authority initiated projects
- Provide progress updates to HOD (IT)
- Ensure that MOE policies, guidelines and standards are adhered
- Prepare any relevant documentations and guidelines
Business Solution and Procurement of ICT Equipment & Services:
- Advise the HOD (ICT) on ICT solutions that meet the requirements of the Authorities, technical specifications and market pricing
- Request for quotations
- Participate in the evaluation of products
- Provide professional inputs and make recommendations to HOD (ICT)
ICT Planning:
- Assist the HOD (ICT) in gathering the ICT needs of the Authority to work out the annual ICT work plan
Management of ICT Resources:
- Manage the ICT inventory
- Manage the replacement and condemnation of ICT equipment
- Be responsible and accountable for the loaning of ICT equipment to Authority staff
- Ensure complete and up to date documentation of all ICT resources for easy retrieval
ICT Briefings/Trainings:
- Organise and conduct briefings / training for Authority staff on ICT implementation
- Organise and conduct briefings / training for student ICT monitors
- Conduct trainings for students when needs arise
Working with other ICT Staff:
- Supervise and manage the tasks carried out by the Technology Assistant(s) in the Authority
- Coordinate and work with other 3rd party/ in-house ICT Trainer
- Any other ICT support staff in the Authority
Market Research:
- Proactively scan the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching & Learning
- Educate and update Authority staff
- Be a point of contact with MOE HQ for dissemination and coordination of ICT related matters for Authorities
Other areas within ICT AV Executive roles:
- Server Administration
- Website Updating
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- AVA/ MRL Coordinators
- Handling Classification Data (e.g. Username & password, student’s results)
- Data entry or scanning of students’ score sheets
- Cleaning of computer LAB or ICT equipment
- Organizing, decorating, photo/video shooting for Authority functions/events
- Assisting Authority staff to troubleshoot Authority-purchased ICT equipment
- Purchasing or obtaining quotations of computer accessories or ICT equipment for Authority
- Managing loan records and issuing of ICT equipment and accessories
- Managing results scanning system (printing of OAS, updating software and programme)
- 1st level support on Knowledge Management System (Attendance Marking)
- Troubleshoot problems at kiosks
- Support for TV Messaging System in Authority
- put up e-notices
Support for Live Broadcast System (Xeno)
- Live feed for events held in Authority
Support for ICT related Outdoor learning journey
- mobile netbook
- Wi-Fi system
Computer Lab support
- on request by teachers (when IT trainer is not available)
Any other area that the Authority may call upon that is related to ICT and AV.
Job Requirements:
· Diploma in ICT related area
· Minimum 2 years of prior working experience in a Singapore Authority
· Preferably with some administrative experience
· Proficient in IT skills eg. Microsoft Office tools, Dreamweaver, Video and audio recording & editing and other ICT skills
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Good team player with a high level of initiative
· Relevant experience in a school environment will be preferred
